We kindly invite you to actively participate in the World Canals Conference 2024 in Bydgoszcz, Poland! 

The 3-day-meeting is organized under the patronage and in cooperation with the Inland Waterways International. It is an annual event for inland waterways enthusiasts, held alternately in Europe, Asia and America (2019 – China, 2021 – USA, 2022 – Germany, 2025 - USA).

The last few editions of WCC were attended by at least 300 partcipants each, that is also the projected number of the participants in Poland.  We expect the attendance of a broad pool of experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, representatives of public authorities, and promoters of using inland waterways, as well as in terms of tourism. This platform will serve as an exceptional platform for the exchange of perspectives, concepts, and, most importantly, solutions implemented in different countries. Ultimately, the WCC2024 will offer a chance to build relationships between all who use, maintain, and develop inland waterways, not just in Poland.

Environmental topics related to rivers and canals, including preservation of resources and ecosystems as well as advanced sustainable technologies.

An inseparable component of relations between people and the aquatic environment, including rivers and canals; focus on the determination of a catalogue of human impacts on the environment in time and space; revitalization projects for rivers, canals and waterways, to counteract the negative effects, both past and present.
Water, heritage & tourism
Touristic and recreational use of rivers and canals, as one of the essential meanings of combining economy with the environment; aquatic museology.
 

The main venue for the event, Rother's Mills offers conference rooms for plenary sessions and meetings, but also presentation and exhibition spaces. There are flexible options to mark your presence during the WCC2024.
